Here’s an easy way to help your child understand. These quick, easy-to-follow activities are just the thing to get your child understand that God knows what is best for them. Pick a night this week, and put these things into practice…

• Play Time
  Take some time one afternoon this week to make homemade lemonade with your child. As you are both preparing the lemonade for the party, talk about all of the ingredients that have to go into the water to make it into lemonade. Remind your child about how Jesus was at a party once, and He changed the water into super fancy drink without using anything at all. Jesus used His amazing power to transform the water! He could do that because Jesus can do anything!

• Car Time
  Play “Who’s More Powerful?” with your child. Point out different things that your child can see out of his car window and ask, Who’s More Powerful than—the sun? That big truck? That tall building? Continue with the game as you see things on the road that you can insert into the question. The answer is always JESUS! . Remind them that nothing is more powerful than Jesus.
• Bath Time
  Add a few special items to bath time: an aquarium net, a strainer, or a cup, and some small tub toys (preferably fish). Tell your child that he is going to go fishing in the bathtub! Give him the net/strainer/cup first. Don’t put any of the other toys in the tub just yet. Tell your child that there doesn’t seem to be any fish to catch! Remind him of the story about the disciples who fished all night long and didn’t catch a single fish. But then, when Jesus told them to put their nets in the water, something amazing happened! Now, put all of the toys in the water. Help your child catch all of the fish in the net/strainer/cup. Talk about how Jesus helped the disciples catch all of those fish because Jesus can do anything!!
• Cuddle Time
  Lay with your child. Talk about the sounds that you hear outside. “Dear God, we thank You for everything that we hear outside. We thank You for the sun and for the moon. Most of all, we thank You for your amazing Son, Jesus. Help us to remember that Jesus can do anything .We love You, God. Amen””
