Dear Friends,
In the event that you were unable to join us on Sunday, January 6th, we wanted to make sure you had a chance to experience one of the most important moments in our history.
Years ago, while still in Phoenix, the Lord dropped into my heart a phrase that I’ve carried all these years since: “Success without a successor is a failure”. Ten years ago, I began to discuss with Pastor Josh my growing desire that he would follow me in the role I have been so honored to hold for the last twenty-five years. The video will share our story and plans going forward. I believe you will be as excited about what you see and hear as we are to present it to you. We’ve entitled it “Stepping Into The Future” because it introduces an essential step that will go a long way toward ensuring a growth-filled future for Hope Church. Over the last twenty-five years in service to our city and beyond, we have experienced God’s goodness in countless ways. Now, as we look toward the future, it is very obvious to me that He has once again smiled upon us!

It’s hard to believe that nearly 17 years ago, Kristi and I came to Hope as a young married couple. I remember how clear and specific the call of the Lord was in sending us here. What was only a glimpse or a whisper to us back then, has grown into an even greater passion in us to see the manifest presence of God and the hope of Jesus not only fill the church, but overflow through the church touching and transforming every aspect of life. Pastor Gary and Judi responded to the word of the Lord 25 years ago, and now we, together, continue to build on that word and also on every word He will speak as we begin the next 25. Kristi and I consider it one of the greatest privileges to be able to step into this next season of leadership at Hope. Hope Church has always been so loving to Kristi and I and our girls… You are our family! Together, we will open our arms wide to grow our family, and to bring the Hope that lives in us to countless more.
