August 5th | Parents & Students
Day 1 Verse
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13 ESV
Devotional Thought
As a new school year begins, Isaiah 54:13 offers a comforting promise to parents: “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” This verse reassures us that beyond academic learning, God Himself is the ultimate teacher of our children. As parents, we can trust that He is guiding them, instilling in them wisdom and peace that transcends classroom lessons. Let us pray and release our worries, knowing that God’s hand is upon our children, leading them into His perfect peace and purpose.
Devotional Prayer
Father, as this new school year begins, we lift up our children to You, trusting in Your promise from Isaiah 54:13 that all your children shall be taught by You, and great will be their peace.
We ask for the Holy Spirit to impart guidance and wisdom over them, that they may grow not only in knowledge but in understanding of Your ways. Grant them peace in their hearts, and protect them as they navigate this new school year. Help us, as parents, to release our anxieties and place our trust in You, knowing that Your hand is upon our children, leading them into Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
August 6th | Teachers & Aids
Day 2 Verse
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 ESV
Devotional Thought
Our educators and aids, including the parents who homeschool, face many challenges and demands, and it is essential for us to support them through prayer and encouragement. By praying for their strength and seeking ways to uplift them, we can help ensure they have the endurance and vigor needed to inspire and nurture their students. Let’s trust in the Lord’s promise to renew their energy and spirit, enabling them to soar above the weariness that can come with their calling.
Devotional Prayer
Father, we lift up our teachers and aides, and all those who are preparing for another homeschooling year. We ask that You fulfill Your promise from Isaiah 40:31 in their lives, renewing their strength and giving them the endurance to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint. Surround them with Your love and support, and fill them with the energy and vigor they need to inspire and nurture their students. Show us how we can be a source of encouragement and prayerful support for them, trusting in Your power to lift them up and enable them to soar above the challenges they face. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
August 7th | Administrators & Support Staff
Day 3 Verse
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
Devotional Thought
The dedication and hard work of our school administrators and all the support staff is vital to a nurturing and effective educational environment being established. It requires a level of servanthood that’s steadfastly devoted from the top down. We can support them by recognizing their efforts, offering words of encouragement, and praying for their strength and perseverance. Let us remind them every chance we get that their labor is not in vain and that their impact on the school community is profound and deeply appreciated.
Devotional Prayer
Father, you have sent skilled upright labor to our schools. You have established them in their roles, and with that, we ask that you draw near to them, guide them with your wisdom, and instruct them with your strategies and ways.
We pray for their peace and that you would empower them to do all assigned to them with compassion, grace, and an understanding that comes only from you. Amen.
