Stories of Hope
My Wife and I have been attending Hope Church for about 3 months. We sense the Spirit of God moving in a tremendous way every service that we attend. Regardless of who the speaker has been, we feel like the message is always timely and relevant. The worship team members are very talented, but more importantly, they are anointed! Last Sunday, August 18th, during worship I received healing in my ear. I've recently had shingles, with the usual symptoms associated with it on my face, neck, head, and on and in my ear. I had struggled with an ear ache, non-stop for about 3 ½ weeks, but during worship my ear ache was healed and was (and is) pain free! No one laid hands on me, or prayed for me during this time. I was touched by His healing anointing! Thank You Father! Thank you Hope Church for allowing the spirit of God to move freely in each service! To my amazement, they told me that God had touched him and he could talk normal, could walk, and wasn’t shaking. firmly believe that sometime from 8pm Friday night to 8 am Saturday morning, that Jesus had touched my Dad. It was as if he had not had the stroke and was able to walk and talk normal! Praise the Lord!
I received a text from my sister, while at work, that our Dad had experienced a significant stroke during the night. A hospice nurse had been there and was able to confirm it. My Dad is 86 years old and from when he turned 70 years old, he experienced numerous medical issues. Since the first of this year he has declined quite a bit. The stroke had affected his speech and he had a hard time talking, trouble forming words and sentences; was unable to walk and was shaking. I visited for an hour or two and to be honest I was scared and discouraged for his condition. I didn’t sleep good that night and was frequently praying to the Lord that if it was His will, to heal my Dad. When I got up Saturday morning I texted my Mom and Sister to ask how Dad was, expecting worse news. To my amazement, they told me that God had touched him and he could talk normal, could walk, and wasn’t shaking. firmly believe that sometime from 8pm Friday night to 8 am Saturday morning, that Jesus had touched my Dad. It was as if he had not had the stroke and was able to walk and talk normal! Praise the Lord!
Over the last 8 months, I have been on a healing journey from abuse of every kind, especially emotional and psychological. While walking this out with the Lord, I had to file bankruptcy due to spousal financial abuse (lying, deception, use of my credit cards). The beginning of this year was looking rough. How I would provide for my 2 children, make our rent payments, etc. God has not only healed my heart internally through therapy and learning on my own, but He has shown his love for my small family by providing stable housing for us in a much better community than I live in now. We will be moving to that new home in November, and I’m just in awe of the Fathers love and ability to provide for his children!

Discipleship
Hope Family isn’t a substitute for Sunday gatherings but a place for intentional discipleship to happen, discipleship that is founded in relational, missional and Spirit-filled relationships. It is our belief that as the “Family Leaders” invest in the lives and hearts of those in their family that ALL will grow in maturity, the maturity that is mentioned in Ephesians 4.
