On Christmas, we celebrate an amazing event that happened in the small village of Bethlehem, located in the hills of Judea. It was most likely sometime in the early morning
hours, that a teenager gave birth to a baby boy in the shabby, unsanitary confines of a stable. On the surface, this was nothing spectacular or particularly noteworthy. The factor that elevates this event in importance lies in who this child was and what He would bring to an unsuspecting world! His identity nor His mission can be understood or appreciated, unless viewed in the light of an event experienced by our most ancient ancestors.
